
Mr. Gibbs graduated from Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida. He was a member of the Alachua County Youth Orchestra for 4 years, Alachua All-County Band for 6 years and was selected as an All-State participant for 3 years. After high school, Mr. Gibbs received an A.A. degree in Music from the Florida Community College in Jacksonville, a B.S. degree in Music Education, B.M. degree in Music Performance, and a G.C. in Music Performance from the University of South Florida. In 2003 Mr. Gibbs received an M.M. degree in Music Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. From 2003 - 2005 he was the band director at Rodgers Middle School in Riverview, Florida and in 2005 Mr. Gibbs became the band director at Auburndale High School. Mr. Gibbs is also a freelance clarinetist. He has performed with the Disney World Candlelight Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, Southwest Florida Symphony, Florida West Coast Symphony, Sarasota Opera, Florida Orchestra and the Crested Butte Festival Orchestra in Crested Butte, Colorado. He studied the clarinet with Jack Fisher, Thomas Ridenour, Carmine Campione (Cincinnati Symphony Ret.), John Yeh (Chicago Symphony), and Brian Moorhead (Florida Orchestra). In his spare time, Mr. Gibbs enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, traveling, and enjoying fine cuisine. Mr. Gibbs is a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, Florida Music Educators Association, and the Golden Key National Honor Society.
